Dear Friends,
- Having a great time, wish you were here. REALLY wish you were here. Whose idea was this move anyway?!
- Miss Ky is adjusting, although I didn't expect any less since she has been asking to move from the first week we settled into the old house. She flitted by me the first night, singsonging, "I LOVE this house--by the way, where's the toilet?"
The school has their work cut out for them in September.
- I've emptied three boxes this morning. Nothing got put away, I just emptied the boxes. It's a start!
- I have THE BEST BROADBAND EVER!! No more dial-up speed at broadband prices!
And,
- just for the record, I really don't care if TV rots brains. Three viewings of Rio, one viewing of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Sponge Bob have allowed me to get my kitchen unpacked.
Rotten brains, but fed tummies. Even trade-off.
Hope you are well, we'll write soon!

Lovely view!
ReplyDeleteAnd rotten brains are sweet brains...perfect for unpacking.
According to my calculation, September looks like the perfect month to get settled in, as you'll have more than ten seconds to yourself!
LOVE the view from your kitchen door!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good move. The view is lovely and it seems like everyone is settling in well. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWhat's a little brain rot?
ReplyDeleteMiss Ky's quotes had me giggling out loud.
Beautiful view! Especially since this time of year, all of my flowers are fried.
Glad to hear progress is being made! :-) Lovely yard you have there. I just watched the Diary of a Wimpy Kid the other day and really liked it! Good luck in getting things settled and put away.
ReplyDeleteTV is my friend.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote from Ky *snicker*
I can't wait for school to start... 7 more days!!
I like postcards, especially funny ones. That daughter of yours is a crack up. Can't wait to see the view for myself.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely view, really not too shabby.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the rest of the unpacking. Glad that Miss Ky is so taken with the new house.
Gorgeous view! I can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing against tv at all. Seriously. There is a house to unpack people! ;)
Oh Miss Ky. I can't wait to hear of her adventures at school. That girl rocks! :)
Yay! Congratulations. So exciting and inspiring. You are a force to be reckoned with!
ReplyDeleteWhat's a few rotten brains in the whole scheme of things, really? :)
knowing where the toilet is is always a plus. particularly for kids who wipe unknown substances on bathroom walls.
ReplyDeleteI see that someone has the priorities right. The goalposts are up already.
ReplyDeleteSounds like progress is being made!! Hope she found the toilet!!
ReplyDeleteAnd that view is wonderful!!
Have fun unpacking!!
Hugs
SueAnn
Love the view! I think the television is sometimes a very wonderful little tool for keeping them out of the way. Good luck with the unpacking!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful out your window! Do not stress...it will all get done. In the meantime, help them find the toilet!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely. And as for the tv rotting our children's brains? Hogwash, I've always said. As long as they're not watching Sex and the City or Nightmare on Elm Street, they'll learn a lot of useful stuff.
ReplyDeleteYes, from someone who moves a lot- if you want any chance of getting the house into order you just have to say yes to lots of TV :)
ReplyDeleteOmigosh, Miss Kai is priceless! Have you inquired exactly why she loves the new house? What? No white carpet?
ReplyDeleteHonestly, there are just times, as a mom, that one must succumb to the mindless boob tube for relief. My kids turned out fine & I relied heavily on Nickelodeon & Sesame Street. They are the reason my children are alive & well. I swear.
Ah Ha! A move! THAT'S why you haven't blogged much. We'll forgive you but only if you come back and post a lot of pics. A new garden? That will be fun!
