Although, until our belongings find their way here, I don't really feel like we're here, here. You know? It's like I'm on a very long (and quite tiring) holiday. I still wake up with that panicky feeling that I need to pack up our things and move on to the next hotel.
Along with the changes we're undergoing (as a family moving to a new country), I feel that this blog needs to undergo some serious changing as well. I'm not the same person I was when I began this nearly 7 years ago. The title and blog description don't fit anymore and I'm no longer an "American living in Norfolk"- it all needs changing.
My question to you all is: Do I start a new blog and close this one down?
I have two book reviews waiting to be published, so I feel a little bad moving house while the publishers are waiting on me, but this blog has been extremely personal in some spots and I'd like to go a little more public with our new life, new location.
Have you moved blogs before? Did you lose/gain people?

Until next time,

I have a second blog, One Cat Shy of Crazy...its fun and I find it time consuming in the summer when I am busy in the garden...I think you should start another and use this one as retrospect when you get the new one up and running...good luck

Hmm, I think you may find it hard to build up your readership again. I reckon you'd be better off revamping this one. You have 224 followers which is a good amount. The people I've know that have started new blogs have found it hard to start from scratch again. But what do I know!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the revamp rather then the new one. It would be difficult to start over again after you put all the work into making this blog successful.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes with your big move.
Glad you're there. Hope your stuff is soon too. Revamp. New seems very overwhelming. Just font quit.
ReplyDeleteNo. I'm not drunk. It wouldn't let me correct that to *don't*.
ReplyDeletestay here!! just revamp when you have the time, i've missed reading you. glad you're there <3
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! You should consider just a revamp - for purely selfish reasons as I know I might not be able to find your blog again otherwise :). I hear you on the need to refresh, and I haven't even physically moved ... although life certainly has. Good luck settling in!
ReplyDeleteYou've been blogging for seven years? Holy cow. I look at how my blog was in the beginning and it's changed a lot, too.
ReplyDeleteWhatever you do my dear, I'll stalk you. :)
