She says, "I can fix my own hair"
I says, "Not today you don't".
She says, "I fixed my hair for the party".
I says (yes, I know this is not grammatically correct), "Fine, but I pick the clothes." The face paint was a bonus.
She says, "I'm ready to go!"
Luckily we're not actually going anywhere.
My style choices...
Her style choices
I'm accutely aware that one day she will be stronger than me. I says, "Heaven help her when she hits the teenage years!"

She's got future fashion designer written all over her.
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable, but that little grin on her face, you are in big trouble! ;)
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute. I think she must get her fashion sense from her dad.
ReplyDeleteI'd let her wear the pink ensemble, but you fix the hair.
ReplyDeleteIt's all about compromise.
She's a cutie no matter what she's wearing or how her hair looks. I think she likes pink. ;)

LOL. Been there. Choose your battles, Mama. Choose your battles....
ReplyDeleteLove a girl with fashion sense. I'm not saying what kind of fashion sense...
ReplyDeletebwahahahahahaha our daughters are just SO alike :)
ReplyDeleteGive her credit for trying!
ReplyDeleteI came over her to wish Miss Ky Happy Birthday around the time of her birthday but you had not posted for some time. Knowing that your husband was away I was a bit concerned. So I am pleased to read that it was due to nothing more than a lack of time. I am having the same problem - not enough hours in the day.
It's probably a good thing she's not my child because then her hair would look like she did it all the time - even when she didn't.
ReplyDeleteyou're lucky she lets you do her hair at all. my childn's hair NEVER looks good. Ever. and now she's growing it out. Heaven help ME now.
ReplyDeleteYep, it's best to choose your battles. I chose to let hair & clothes go at that age but we called SD *Cindy Lauper* because she always had such interesting, unmatched choices, and hair to go along with it. Yay for individuality! Yeah. Right.
