throughout the world
are reverencing the day.
Or buying eggs
for the splashing
of wondrous colors.
Some are buying cellophane grass
that will wrap around
the hoover on Monday.
Other people,
have hand painted
tulips, chicks, cards of love.
But not me.
Today
on this first day of Easter Break.
I painted my children.
As a bunny?
No
Colorful like an egg?
No
Other people have certain iconic images
to help them recognize this time.
But my child has his own.
A2 has pestered me since last night to paint his face to look like Darth Maul. He has a birthday party to go to in the a.m. I hope I can get it all off by then.
DON'T FORGET!
Give away details will be posted by Monday!!!

Bwhahaha! Ok, that is hysterical!
ReplyDeletebwahahahahaha... that was beautiful! You have quite the artistic talent to paint that on his face! MY son would very much like you to come over and paint HIS face now too please. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteEaster Bunny - Darth Maul - what's the difference? Your face painting skills are quite good - I knew right away who he was. I bet he was a hit at the party if you didn't get it all off:-)
ReplyDeleteDarth Maul can come over to my house and help scare away the ghosts! Yep, another investigation commences tonight - on Good Friday, even. I don't think ghosts observe holidays. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteI gotta read and catch up on you and yours - was away from the blogosphere for a while. :-) Hugs!
Wow! You did a great job! And so Eastery (is that a word?)!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Oh, J. That is simply Hee Larry Ous! Too priceless.
ReplyDeleteI love Darth Maul. You did a wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteThat RAWKS! My boys are coming over shortly for a painting session. When my ten year old is bored, he's all about the Star Wars.
ReplyDeleteYou all are so sweet, thank you!
