He's waiting not-so-patiently for me to get in the shower and get ready.
Because today, our football team is one of the ONLY two matches in the
entire country that is being played.
This is why. You are looking at Nasa's view of the UK right now.
We have undersoil heating our pitch.entire country that is being played.

That's great for the guys running around in their cute little shorts in -5c temperatures, but I'm going to be sitting in the stands concentrating on the cold permeating the marrow of my bones.

Luckily Miss Ky has some sane people in her life and they've insisted we leave her behind with them. In their warm house. Why didn't they request my company as well?
Hubby will be layered.
Unfortunately he thinks he's layering in his woolen blend undershirt that I wore while building my snowman the other day.

Hopefully I'll slip on the way out the door and hurt myself so that I can stay home.

One day of this white stuff is really enough! Hope you did enough jumping around to keep you warm. Lovely pics, though. Can't take a bad picture of snow.
ReplyDeleteIf it was real football I could totally understand the need to sit in the freezing snow to watch a game. But soccer...can't you just watch it on TV? That's me being a snooty American. ;)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be sitting in the cold for any sport. Unless of course it offers up some good photography moments. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave fun...and, better you than me. :)
ReplyDeleteHa Haaa!!! It is freaky cold here too, I think I will hide inside today. Good luck ;-)
ReplyDeleteHope you jumped around, stomped your feet and waved your arms a lot! You might want to invest in those little hand /feet warmers that you put into your mittens/socks. And you might need to cuddle up to Mr. Sexy Guy!
ReplyDeleteYou need a propane heater like some of the soccer parents had at our daughter's high school games.
ReplyDeleteHave fun and try to stay warm.
Oh golly. I'm cold just thinking about you out in that. Hope you have fun and don't lose any fingers or toes to the frostbite. YIKES!
ReplyDeleteI think that in the circumstances I would have passed on the shower!
ReplyDeleteOh crikey - I hope by the time you read this you have thawed out a tad. I have to say I don't envy you having to go out. I am refusing to even step outside the front door at the moment, let alone go to a football match. It must be love. Really that's the only explanation! Warm hugs to you lady. Now stay inside x
ReplyDeleteWhat? You mean you weren't watching Alabama v Texas?
ReplyDeleteI thought THAT was the only game in town. LOL
Brrr! I hope you don't freeze too badly. It seems a bit too cold to sit in the stands.
ReplyDeletewell... I hope you had fun! I went to one Football (Canadian style) game in the snow years ago and have never gone again. Sitting on cold seats in the cold snow watching guys run around in the cold is not my idea of a good time. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are brave. Hope it was fun.
ReplyDeleteI've been to many a cold game, as soon as the game gets going it usually isn't too bad.
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty out! I hope you didn't slip and fall. And glad that Miss Ky's wearing someone else out!
ReplyDeleteI totally just want to curl up by the fire beside my cat when it's cold, which has been for the last six weeks. Argh. And, I don't miss going to soccer games in the least. If that makes me a bad mom, then so be it. I can live with that, lol!
