Need a Lift

Do you ever have one of those weeks days when you're just agitated and don't know why?

Here's a tip: Do not watch "The Fourth Kind" during those moments. Not sure if the movie was good or not, all I know is it really pee$$'d me off... excuse my toilet language. If you've seen it, email me and tell me if I just watched it at the wrong time of my hormonal swing.

Something else that nearly sent me postal:
Commissary bagger boy? Do NOT make small chit chat with me while you crush my grapes, plums and bread. Your tip which began as very generous began dwindling as you set heavy bag after heavy bag on top of my burger buns. The fact that you crammed as many heavy items into my bag as possible in order to try to rip the handles off (and then just agreed with me as I exclaimed how ridiculously heavy it was) cost you a few more dollars.
Next time, watch the hand in my coat pocket. When it begins to flutter, you've rubbed me the wrong way.

But I'm not all venom and sting, tonight I get to go to my Mr. Darcy trip briefing. I'm excited. And anxious. Do you suppose they were kidding when they said, "Victorian dress optional"?

Andy, one of my favourite coach drivers. He's dressed for the year 6's Victorian trip. These are our school busses! And can you see the poor car blocked while I get my picture with Andy? I'm considerate like that.

  1. I'm with you on the bagging. Sometimes I just want to yell 'pay attention!'

  2. I'm definitely with you. Some days everything just irritates me.

I've never even heard of that movie. I definitely won't bother looking for it.

Don't even get me started on the bagging--drives.me.crazy. Here, I think they pack the paper bags as heavily and crazily as they can as punishment for not picking plastic--which I hate.

I can not believe those are your school buses! Ours are the smelly yellow ones.

My daughter is positively green with jealousy over your trip. I hope you have a great time.

  3. I have asked the bagger if he actually ever carries groceries when he's bagging like that - negative.

No wonder it was so heavy, he was clueless.

This was when I had to walk about 100 yards to get from car to door...in a bad neighborhood, it seemed much farther, as I struggled to pick up items that had fallen out of the cheap bags.

  4. The stores around here all hire developmentally challenged adults to bag. It's a generous notion but very dangerous for the food.

I think I love your bus driver...

  5. Bagger boys? Are you serious? We don't have any bagger boys over here. I'd like to bag my own groceries, thank you very much. :) I wouldn't be able to stand having somebody else do it. :) I want it my way, haha... :)
Cute post. You are funny. I loved the bus, and the bus driver too!
    Take care/ Jo.

  7. Haven't seen/heard of the movie. But you're probably right, I'm sure it's irritating.
Bagger boys---well, I'm not sure what to say on this one. I'm with you though. I had one once, who helped me out to my car then proceeded to load everything on top of my bread. Tip? please!

  8. Most of our baggers are from a local home, so I just love the fact that they are given a chance to work. But I secretly help them;) You look BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

  9. I haven't heard of the movie, so I can't say much about that. I do have days like that though when everything just irritates me for no reason. The bagger boy thing though, that really IS a reason to be irritated. Some of the baggers here locally are great and some of them you really have to keep an eye on them the whole time. I don't think they are trying to do it wrong, though. I think they are just young and clueless mostly. Hope your day got brighter as it went along. Hugs to you whether it did or not!! :D
