The pressure on our winged creature of the night paid off. After her good name was smeared throughout blogland, the Tooth Fairy caved.
With three older brothers, I can't think of anything A2 has tried to hurry along more than the loss of a first tooth and to think when the momentous occasion finally occurred, that the Tooth Fairy forgot to visit? Unforgivable.
Well, she's repented. She successfully pulled off the tooth/cash switch for the boy's first lost tooth (teeth-- a second one came out the next day)...
but even better news?
His Wall-E lunch box came too. Just in time for school holiday. I have one happy little boy who still believes in magic

These naughty tooth fairies do occasionally get muddled up! I hope he left a note out for her, expressing his feelings and that the fairy was duly chastised and paid compensation!
ReplyDeleteNuts in May
Funny that, the same thing happened to Number One Son and he's always felt bad about it. Now, Number One Daughter, now 30, saw a glimmer of fairy wing from the corner of a sleepy eye. You just have to believe.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that tooth fairy finally got her act together!!
ReplyDeleteI always insist that we cut the tooth fairy some slack. You never knew exactly how rough her day (or evening) had been;)
ReplyDeleteLove that smile!
I'm always struck by exactly HOW good looking your kids are. You could never totally be a slacker mom, knowing that you can make cute kids so well.
ReplyDeleteThe tooth fairy must be getting old. She's forgetting a lot at her age, in fact she forgot to come on the first night that my daughter lost 3 teeth. ^shrug^ At least now I can tell her that someone else had the same thing happen! Thanks for bailing me out!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute gappy grin he has. And I have to say that I really like his jacket. Its kind of cute!
Thanks so much for coming to visit me! I really appreciate it.
I love that toothless grin! He is so handsome! Those big brown eyes just make me melt. So cute. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah toothfairy! :)
Glad to know she redeemed herself. :)
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does your adorable little sweetie look a fair bit like the balloon hoax kidlet?
I'm glad the tooth fairy repented. Here's hoping Santa doesn't miss your roof top. If you want to come on by and meet Jack I’m home.
ReplyDeleteoh teeth pulling can be so traumatic!
ReplyDeletehe is so cute!
ReplyDeleteafter 20 years, our tooth fairy is getting decidedly lazy. in fact, she needs a swift kick! don't feel bad!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad she could stop by. Love the smile!!!
ReplyDeleteI knew the tooth fairy would set things to right.
ReplyDeleteGood ol' tooth fairy!
And glad the lunch box came so quickly too! Wow. When I heard you say it could take 4 months I was aghast. AGHAST, I tell you! But this is most certainly NOT four months.
Cool cool cool.
Love you!
Wendy
I always come to find a smile . . . and am NEVER disappointed. : D
ReplyDeletep.s.
Our Tooth Fairy is 6' 2" with a faulty memory -- thus I am the Back-up Fairy (aka The Nag).
p.p.s.
A Wall-E lunchbox sounds fab! (He's so cute . . . like A2 -- a good match.)
We had a very absent minded tooth fairy here. One of the kids finally wrote a not in huge letters and put it on the floor in the hall. I don't know why they thought the tooth fairy walked down the hall.
ReplyDeleteYou words were so clever in the beginning of this post I thought it was a halloween story.
Your boy is darling!
It is about time that tooth fairy came through! Missing the first tooth? I think she is in danger of loosing her tooth fairy license!
ReplyDeleteHis gap is adorable!
Bad toothfairy!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you managed to whip that toothfairy into submission! A2 and my Anna are sporting matching toothless grins!
ReplyDeleteOh- and Anna didn't want to give up her tooth so I told her I'd buy it and then she could keep it and still get money. If she wanted the Tooth Fairy to come, she'd have to give up the tooth. She opted to be bought out. I'm SUCH a slacker Mom!
The lunch box arrived in time! HURRAY! So glad the tooth fairy was able to redeem herself too. I hope you can cut her a little slack and be kind to her. She has her hands full from what I understand. ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week ahead, Jeri! :D
OMG! Look at that face! I imagine that little guy gets away with a lot just by batting those big brown eyes. Wow.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that we only have to go through this wobbly tooth phase once in our lives. I took it in stride when I was six but I couldn't now. Perhaps Wednesday is the Tooth Fairy's night off?
ReplyDeleteEven with two teeth missing he is a handsome chap!
Sweet! Nothing cuter than a kid with missing front teeth. :)
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered why it is that we pay our children for their lost teeth?......
ReplyDeleteone boy in my house just became a littler richer thanks to his teeth falling out too.
Gotta love the gap-tooth smiles! :)
That face is worth it all!
