Flowing Like a River

We're all busy. We all seem to be trying to keep up with the same bloggers (I see your name and think-- OH sheesh, I haven't been to her place either)-- isn't there a way we could work out some group visits?

Has anyone else found that some horrible joke is being played on you and time just keeps getting siphoned out of the tank when you're not looking?

Remember this song? It reminds me of my just-out-of-high-school romance and warm summer nights on a pier in western Kentucky. Trying to say goodbye when the next day seemed too far away and too long to be apart.
THAT seems like just yesterday, which if it was, it would mean that I had married someone else and had five kids last night. No wonder I'm tired.

  1. No wonder you're tired indeed! Isn't it funny how a song immediately takes you back to another place?

  2. Geez! I know that would wear me out. It would probably bleed you out as well. Best to see a doctor about that, woman.

  3. That would explain a lot. But I just heard that it's scientifically and emotionally benefitting to nap. I think if you find any free time you should use it napping. After you read my blog, of course. ;)

  5. Tired? You must be absolutely exhausted after a night like that.

  6. That song reminds me of going to my grandma's house when I was younger. I can't even listen to all of it. Makes me cry.

Yes. Time is speeding on. It is crazy. And scary. I am noticing it now more than ever, and it makes me nervous. I completely understand what my mom is saying when she says she still feels like she is 20. And she is 70!

  7. You must be wiped out!! I know what you mean though. THings are just crazy busy, and even when I'm not really getting a lot done, the time just slips away from me.
Don't beat yourself up about it though. We (sorry, speaking for everybody I guess, when I should just be speaking for myself) (hmmmmm, now I forgot what I was going to say)-have you ever seen back to back parentesis like that??? Now I'm off on some tangent and completely losing my train of thought. No wonder I get nothing accomplished every day.
Oh yeah, WE know you're thinking of us, and you'll be by for a visit when you can.

  8. I can so relate to this. That sucking sound you hear is time being swirled away from us. I truly believe it is going faster with each passing day. Obviously, I'm behind too. I think you've posted nine times since I visited here last. HA! I'm trying to do some catching up today. I should be off buying groceries at the store but instead I'm reading blogs. :D

    Happy weekend to you!

  9. Yes.

And just to make extra sure I don't have any time my computer died last night. Dead. At the computer doctor now. I am borrowing hubby's laptop.

And I move in a week.

And the kids are driving me nuts.

    Fun times my friend.

  10. I clicked the play button first before I read... getting into the romantic mood and then YOU DID IT AGAIN! Broke whatever mood I was in and had me burst out in laughter...
    *huge laugh*

  11. What a busy night that would have been. I don't like the fact we are apart - going on 4 years now. At times I wonder if we will EVER live together again while he is in the military. Tired of all the slamming doors in our face.

This may be the only adult conversation I have all day, don't leave me now!
