I've just sat through the horrible morning of 9/11 again (I don't know why I do it, so don't ask). The only difference between today and 2001 was that I wasn't screaming. I knew what was coming. And no matter how hard I hoped, nothing changed.
Except our world.
May God bless those who lost their lives and those who were left behind to mourn them. If Sept 11th knocks me off my feet every year, can you even fathom what it's like for them?

I has the same effect on me every year. I think that it needs to.
ReplyDeleteWell said.
ReplyDeleteThoughts and Pryers this day with all who need them.
Thank you for the reminder to go back and watch it again. I think that's something we all need to do.
ReplyDeleteMemorial anniversaries are hard, aren't they? I was thinking about Pearl Harbor Day and how it still means something to my parents. Do you think 9/11 will mean much to our kids when they're middle-aged? I hope it does.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine that. Not at all.
ReplyDeletePeace and Blessings to all.
That was a dreadful day. We were flying at the time when the twin towers were hit (over Paris by my estimation). You can probably imagine how we felt.
ReplyDeleteI'll never forget.
ReplyDeleteThey never should have taken the coverage of TV.
ReplyDeleteI still pray for the victims, the families, the rescuers. God help us.
Blessings,
C~
Can't even imagine how it is for the survivors and the families of those who lost their lives.
ReplyDeleteI try to review it every year too, and I find myself bawling every time. I think that's appropriate, and pray that feeling never goes away.
Its amazing how a single event can unite the world in such a special way... even after so many years....
ReplyDeleteThis was the very first year I didn't realize what Sept 11th meant. First time. I knew the number but forgot the significance. Not sure how I feel about that.
ReplyDeleteYeah. A friend sent me some pictures this year, and I felt like I'd just lived through it again. I never want to forget that day, but I never want to see it happen again. It was weeks before I could wake up in the morning without being afraid to turn on the news.
ReplyDeleteMy husband had it on TV for part of the day, but I couldn't bear to watch it. The first time through watching the towers fall live on TV was enough for me. I won't ever forget it and didn't want to relive it. My heart goes out to all involved.
