Technologically-Challenged Need Not Apply

I give up. I'm exposing myself for the technologically inept person I am.
HOW the heck do I get the Link within widget to work?
Please don't tell me to contact them, they don't care.
I have googled solutions and nearly crashed my entire blog.
What am I doing wrong?
Teach me.
I'm humble, I'll listen.

Oh. And it's snowing here. loads. I'm happy about it.

  1. I'm extremely technically challenged! I try to stay away from anything that warrants a technical explanation; I tend to switch off.

  2. Well, one thing I learned the hard way is that it can take hours if not days to start working properly. You may have it on there right and it's just not fully activated yet.

That was what happened with me. Email me if you need more help. I'll walk you through what I did.

  3. What is a link within widget? Seriously. You don't want to ask me any technology questions.

Nice background too! We have the same one! :)

  4. Okay, I see it's still not working...the other thing I did was send them an email when I thought mine wasn't working. I thought mine spontaneously started working, but maybe it didn't, maybe they tweaked something. Good luck.

Wouldn't you love to move to central Ohio? I just know we'd be such good IRL friends.

  6. What link within widget? I'm not sure what you are referring to. Sorry I'm of no help. Hope you figure it out.

  7. I have no clue. I don't mess with my blog anymore. But I like your new layout. And I wish I had your snow.

  8. Blind leading the blind here: I did it so I must know how, right? I found the url for the thing I wanted to link and wrote it on a piece of paper (very techno solution). I expect you can copy and then paste but I like to have a back-up plan. Then I went into gadget which may be the same as widget, and selected add links or list links in the options. I typed in the url, gave it a title and it worked. This will be really embarrassing if I didn't understand your question and went completely sideways.

  9. I usually just mess things up, hand ut over to hubs who tries desperatly to fix it and and then I can blame him and not me. Snow? Really? I'm jealous. Seriously.

  10. Since it's still not working, I'd try the email for help. :/

Computers. Hmph! Blogs. Hmph! Well, not really, because then I wouldn't have met you, but they can be a pain in the tush, eh?
