Disregard the woman behind the curtain, she's running on empty.
I appreciate your comments and concern for my man-child (and the advice of Miss Ky's preschool blues) and certainly hope I've replied, but wow... I think too much allergy medicine is detrimental to the thinking process.

My car is going into the body shop tomorrow.
I wish it was this kind of body shop, but it's not.
It's the kind of body shop that fixes bumpers that are dragged mercilessly over tree stumps hidden in harmless looking berms of dirt (for loads of money).

Have you ever sat through an entire TV show or movie even though you didn't like it?
Or read a book all the way through because someone without any taste told you it was good?
Or kept reading someones post thinking, "It'll get better, I'm sure of it"?
I'm almost positive I had something of substance to blog about today, but this is what you're left with. For this I clogged up your reader....

Not at all, dear Jeri, not at all.
ReplyDeleteYou need a good night's sleep.
ReplyDeleteI use NyQuil...have I mentioned that before?
Hmmm, my car is in the body shop this week because I dragged my bumper. Must be that type of week!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better.
I won an iPod via a blog & I bought the Twilight soundtrack - I'll let you know if it's any good. Love the new background.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I always love what you write.
keep writing, I'll keep reading!
ReplyDelete~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
Hahaha! Even when you write that you have nothing to say you are still so damn funny! Love it.
ReplyDelete:)
Well, this is the dark side of NaBlo. But it's still fun to read. :)
ReplyDeleteHee hee!---I mean, oh, so sorry about your colds meds and its adjunct effect on your posting skills....
ReplyDeleteBlessings! ;o)
heh heh, you make me laugh, even when babbling.
ReplyDeleteActually I have finished several movies and books feeling like they "had to get better". Once in a while they did. Most often, not so much. TV shows I'm a lot less tolerant of. But then again, I don't watch all that much TV.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon!
Oh dear, allergy medicine! Hope the sneezes and itchy eyes and such go away soon. I have read a few and watched a few that were highly recommended thinking pretty soon it will get better. No such luck. Win some you lose some.
ReplyDeleteYou can clog up my reader any day!
ReplyDeletenot mindless; humorous, entertaining....very worth my while :)
ReplyDeleteI'm just enjoying the visual you created with the bumper story. Too fun (for us anyway- not so much for you).
ReplyDeleteAllergy medicine is a killer. It either zonks you out or makes you loopy and keeps you up all night. I've been up all night the last two nights. I'm going to try the "zonks me out" kind tonight!
ReplyDeleteNo worries!! I love reading whatever you post about.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I have seen/read some stuff I wish I hadn't had too. The worst is when it's required reading for school and you have no choice but to keep reading. bluh!
I love the whimsy and nonsense of this post. It suits me to a T.
ReplyDeleteOh, blogging under the influence (of cold meds) is a baaaad thing!
ReplyDelete;-)
I've done it many, many times.
Scary, indeed!

I've done it many, many times.

I hope you have gotten a well deserved rest.
ReplyDeleteAbout the movie - yes. About the book - I have in the past but in the past couple of years I have given myself permission to put down a book in the middle and never pick it up again. It is so liberating!
ReplyDeleteI have completely been there and done it all. Keep writing;)
ReplyDeleteWell..I have those moments frequently..and it's not the color of my hair (blonde) tehe!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the musings and am grateful your post will "clog" my brain today!!
I used to press on more than I do now. Now I have to be picky about my free time. Though, I still watch bad movies until the end if they involve Ewan McGregor or Johnny Depp. ;)
ReplyDeleteWe would not be here reading your blog if we did not want to be. It's variety.
ReplyDeleteMovie, yes, book no. Life's far to short now. I love everything you write, sad, funny whatever. Don't stop.
ReplyDeleteWhen I find you I'm gonna scoop you up and haul you home for some tea -- strong tea! Girlfriend SLOW DOWN! (And what's with the bumper-rippin' off-roading adventure? Do tell -- my husband is curious, being a kindred off-roader-in-the-family/rentalcar himself.) I'm baking some bread and another pie . . . wanna come for tea. ; )
ReplyDeleteQuite the opposite, really. I do enjoy a honest post.
ReplyDeleteYou can "clog" up my reader anytime you want. :)
