Child Minders Wanted

I have the opportunity to stand on the red carpet (ok, just really close next to the red carpet) while the Harry Potter Cast appear for the premiere.

However, this event will occur just a few weeks before the wayward Hubby returns. This has left me with some serious prioritizing and since we know that attending this once-in-a-lifetime event trumps four lovely children, I am currently taking applications for baby sitters.

The skills required for the person or persons considering this job:

1. Keep them alive, preferably unwounded in any way requiring hospitalization.

Apply below.

  1. I could probably manage the first part. The no medical treatment bit might be a little tricky.

  2. I would like to apply to join you at the premiere! I am sure the children will be okay on their own for a few hours!

  3. if i lived on that side of the ocean I would SO volunteer to watch them (then I would tie you up, steal your tickets, and go the premiere. he he he. Evil I know... but HARRY??? come on!)

I am jealous, but I am glad to know you will tell us ALL about it. with pictures. please.

  5. Can I apply to go with you to the premiere instead? That sounds like more fun. ;)

  6. Oo! Me! Me! Does the job include air fare? I could totally skip the red carpet, but I'd love to corral your kids for an evening so you can get out!

  7. Sorry, can't help much with the child-minding. What good am I? You could lock the doors from the outside, put out a few bowls of food and some fruit, a couple bottles of water and hope for the best. :-)

  8. I'd fly over, but going to the premiere would be so much more exciting. I can't wait for Harry.

  9. Um, I'll do it, but you have to Fedex said children to Tennessee. Please don't forget the airholes.

  10. If you pay my airfare, I'd do it. I'd love a trip over there, even if it meant missing the premier. Besides, how hard can it be?

    Snort.

  12. You SO deserve more than just one night out and I SO wish that Kelly and I could come over and do it--I think it would be a blast...to bad that ocean is so big and my wallet is so small...

And..how exciting for you!!!! I hope you get to do it!

  13. That would be a very cool adventure... the red carpet, not the kid watching. Hope you have a great time.

  14. I would volunteer happily to mind the young whippersnappers but my whippersnap is broken...they may not survive my tender care...can you wait till I am fully recovered?
Have a great time on the Red Carpet!
    Send photos!

  15. oh my. I really hope you get to do this. Seriously, is there someone there you'll be able to call on to watch your kiddos'? I so hope so.

  16. Oh what a blast it would be to come there...I would go for watching the kids. Except I would have seven of my own in tow, so I don't think that would work!

By the way, I've been meaning to comment on here since I've had my baby a week and a half ago (but just haven't had a minute to type...I've read your posts but then baby cries, or someone else cries...) to come check out my newest news...our seventh babe has been born. I've got pics and some stories.

  17. Fine, send them over. I can do grandma practice for one day in the future.

  18. Just strap the kids to their beds and they'll be alright. You CAN NOT miss this premier.

  19. That will be an AWESOME night out! I'd love to be your babysitter. How well do you think the kids could handle the transatlantic shipping?

  20. Bring them on over. If someone gets hurt, the hospital knows me by first name. Treatment won't be a problem!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wow!!! Did you win that in a competition? I will cheerfully offer to take your children on for the evening, secure in the knowledge that you are unlikely to ship them to Australia for the evening.

  22. So exciting. Your opportunity! I love babysitting!
