My son has been trying for almost a year to find a part time job! He is 17, but NONE of my kids have had a hard time like he has finding their first job. Scary times. Glad your boy has a job!! Whooo Hoo :).
Hey ... it's not like we don't love our kids .. .but at some point they get so ... hmmm ... opinionated? In need of their own personal freedom and therefore they step on our toes? SOMETHIN' ... and then we are happy to cheer them on as they do their own thing and therefore allow US more PERSONAL FREEDOM TO MOVE ABOUT THE PLANET.
I am looking forward to that.
Just wanna go EVERYWHERE and see EVERYTHING. Yup. That's what I wanna do.
So ... don't rush kids ... but know that you have my blessings to move up and onward.
LOLOLOL! I just got all caught up reading your blog (down to the "real friends" post) and oh you made me laugh ... and weep. Miss Ky! Wow! You know I never had a kid who poured syrup all over the table ... but did lipstick things and ruin things and make me crazy. Alot, actually. Oooh. ... I'd better not think about it cuz it's making me crazy. The hubby dream: I dreamed (three weeks before the Twin Towers fell and I was actually IN New York) that I should keep myself and the children OUT of the shadows of the skyscrapers, because one very tall sky scraper shadow that was on the ground just feet from us was going to fall OVER ... all the way to the end of the shadow ... and us being all the way at the edge of the land, near the water's edge where the children were observing some ducks and feeding them, was the only thing that would keep us from being SQUASHED FLAT by that building falling. Over and over again I HEARD the whole thing but never saw it ... I heard the screaming and the scrambling as people tried to escape the shaded area where the building was falling OVER on top of them.
Did I listen? A little. But I didn't stay out of the shadows. Went right on with my visit. Three weeks later I was flabbergasted though when the twin towers collapsed. I thought: "See? Not psychic! In my dream there was ONE building and it fell OVER ... it didn't collapse!"
I think our dreams WARN us of what we can be involved in ... I don't think that they are a prediction of certainty of doom ... I think they warn us of situations to avoid.
Your husband should avoid a helicopter ride, possibly ... at least a helicopter ride home. JK, I have no idea of what exactly it means. Where is Joseph? We need Joseph and his coat of many colors over here. He'll tell us what our dreams mean.
But seriously ... I wouldn't worry. Worrying just uses up our seratonin and makes us unhappy all day long. I made that up but it sounds very likely.
And boy could I EVER relate to the story of the chocolate cake visit. I have SO been there, in my computer room, my husband locked out, me crying my eyes out ... but I called the bishop and had him come talk to my husband whom I viewed as being very out of control. Not violent. Just extremely unreasonable and intimidating. I don't say it in my blog but I truly think something is wrong with him. He does not think like a normal person. We all have our crosses to bear, huh?
Sometimes the misery grabs a hold of us ... but then truly happy moments balance it all out and we are fine again.
Hang in there! And keep on sharing the honest way you always share.
I don't do it because I am afraid that dang attorney will read my blog in court again and use the information in there against us .. . AGAIN. Yes, it's happened.
One of the trials that comes with being married to my husband is being party to legal actions. People get upset with my husband and want to sue him. Contract issues with real estate. Sigh! So I have to watch what I say.
He's a good man ... just not an i dotter t crosser and it costs us. Me. The kids. I'm pretty tired of it and am addressing it in my own way. I may blog about it at some point, but I wonder if readers really want to know all that anyways, you know?
That's it from me, the super long comment leaver because I don't care about blogging protocol. lol. I'll write what I want, dang it! (I hope this is making you laugh).
Have a great day!
The desitin footprints ... man that stuff is hard to get out! I'm wanting to leave you a hot tip on how to remove them but I don't have one. SCISSORS? Cut off the tops of the carpet fibers? That's how I handle bad stains. I'm serious.
