My Acceptance Speech

Thank you, (applause) thank you (no, really, stop clapping, I need to talk).

I would like to thank a certain Brneyedgal for acknowledging that I am crazy about her and her blog(s) by awarding me this lovely little compliment. She set the precedent of not awarding it right back-- otherwise she'd be wall papering her blog with it right now.

I didn't start blogging to win awards, but it's like icing on the brownies, isn't it? I mean, brownies are always fabulicious, but then you add a delectable chocolate glaze--what's not to love?

So, in hopes of making someone else's day, I'd like to pass this on.

Tara, my first true blog buddy. It just kinda clicked and she's been there through every good and bad post. She comes by to visit even when she really should be sleeping off a terrible week of sick bugs. Oh, and only a real friend can make you laugh out loud by telling you that you suck.

Vader's Mom absolutely has to be on this list because she's like an onion. The name of her blog immediately caught my eye--because I'm married to the biggest Star Wars geek that has ever lived--but soon discovered that the name belonged to a black beauty (loves dogs, check). She has the coolest pink camo blog--very pretty, but if you keep peeling, what color represents the fight against her worst enemy? (that's my take on it, I really don't know if she intended it that way) She's real and definitely a person I'd like to have on my friend's list.

Mel because she's my real-life friend. She is the woman I describe in my header (no offense sweetie). She really does find the chaos of child rearing the greatest joy ever. She's due in less than 30 days with baby four and doesn't know if she'll ever be able to quit having babies-- now there's got to be an award for that, but for now, she's getting a friend badge. :-)

Wow, It's a good thing the music is telling me to get off the stage or there could've been several more..... thank you! (Long, beautiful, well-toned arm in the air throwing kisses)
