What are the odds of a Meteor striking my house? Please.

Update:

We're supposed to sign our lease Thursday and begin the move... however, Miss Ky has been christening our home with the gifts that come with the flu.

Boxes began arriving yesterday from different sources, and now I can at least do something--well, I could if I wasn't holding the Old Faithful geyser all day. I hate the flu.

A2 and she took turns last night waking and crying-- every 1/2 to 1 hour we were up with someone. A2 probably has an ear infection. Miss Ky saw the Doctor yesterday (who said she's on the upside--?-- of the illness from Hades).

Dog formerly known as Jake is getting used to us calling him Jake, however, in our democratic society here at The Flu headquarters, we've narrowed it to three names... I will pick before we move and then Dog, formerly known as Jake, needs to get his waggily tail to the post to send out a cool prize to the name suggester ...
I hope he wasn't expecting me to do it, he's the one who called for help (but I will help because he used MY blog friends-- who are awesome name-comer uppers!).

I've been a yucky blog friend, I'm not reading and commenting where I should and I'm sorry!

  1. I hope the flu stays behind when you move. Not a fun or productive way to pack and travel.

  2. Girl, nobody's reading and posting like they should right now. But you have double excuses, so don't even come apologizing. Get on with the business of sick kids and moving. I'm not going anywhere.

  3. Well I think we all understand your absence. Sick family, big move, the agony of trying to name a new family member...that's a lot of one person to handle. I hope everyone feels better soon!!

  4. Geeze! I'm thinking "what else could go wrong?" but I shouldn't dare, 'cause just when you think this shit up it happens. So, sorry for the ridiculous timing for your lot and yes, the stomach flu is one to the top ten evilest inventions. In regards to the dog previously known as Jake, maybe just a symbol? Hard to call that way though, unless he responds to images.

  7. Seriously, Flea is right. Sick kids and moving definitely absolve you from all bloggy responsibilities!

  8. How about if the chocolate lab formerly known as Jake holds the pots for the geyser girl?

He should make himself useful. After all you have boxes to pack.

And I still hope you pick Phenni or Fenni ... it sounds like a Brittish name to me, but it also sounds like Fenway park ... which sounds American. A hybrid. Kind of like an American family stationed in Great Britain! :)

(Can you tell I want a fabulous prize? LOL.)

  9. I can't believe you can find the time to post with the crappy flu running through your house as it is being packed! I'm exhausted just writing that!
Can't wait to hear pup's name!

  10. I agree...it seems that everyone is taking a little break right now. Myself included. I think it's the end of the school year stuff. Don't feel bad. And I hope everyone in your house heals soon. :)

  11. You all are so kind (as usual-- I hope you realize how much I appreciate the lift you always come by to give)!

As you can see, no meteor hit. no lightening. no freak hurricane so tomorrow morning I will begin hauling stuff to the new place.

Kari-- the big reveal will be very very soon...
WinaW-- I thought a symbol would be appropriate too, but yeah "Hey (symbol), come here!" would be strange. How did people talk to Prince when he went nameless???
    Wendster-- I like your tenacity!!
