So, you've slipped inside your too-tiny-for-your-family cottage and try to hide.
You take a few moments to post about your bad day because it's good for the soul to get it all out. You'll feel better.
But in the background you hear...
crinkle crinkle crinkle
tink tink tinktink tink tink
thump thump thump thumpthump thump
????
crinkle crinkle crinkle
tink tink tinktink tink tink tap tap
thump thump thump thumpthump thump
The day has been less than perfect, so even though you know the toddler is probably up to no good, you really don't care. Just about everything is cleanable since Magic Eraser came onto the scene.
crinkle crinkle crinkle
taptap tink tink tinktink tink tink
thump thump thump thumpthump thump
Oh... Miss Ky has found the Halloween candy... this is what six snack sized bags of Sugar Babies look like when they're converted to a tea party.

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

Geez, don' you wish you had a child with a little more ambition?
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever little cutie!! No markers phew...Hope your day is a good one for you today!!
ReplyDeleteYeah - I want you to know I'm nominating you for Dave's 'best halloween' blog award. That's fantastic!
ReplyDeletecounting the beans! love it - better get those child locks again!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handful! Thank heavens she is so stinking cute! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow you did have a day! She's into everything. However, whenever I think my 3 year old is going to sit down and watch his "favorite" DVD of the moment 5 minutes later he's up and gone too. I feel you pain about that one.
ReplyDeleteAt least she didn't eat all the candy! I'd take that as a high point in that adventure story. :)
So sorry about your bad day, but oh dear that is the loveliest smile...it said 'Hello mummy, look what I've done, I know you wont be cross with me 'cos I'm smiling so sweetly. And you should have known that when they are quiet they are having the naughtiest time.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I LOVE that smile. So proud and so happy, but so maddening...
ReplyDelete(Can you tell I've been there too?)
Great PSF!
precocious, eh? ;) at least she's also adorable!
ReplyDeletehard to be irritated when you see that adorable expression staring up at ya.
ReplyDeletetake care, kathleen
Cute, cute little girl.
ReplyDeleteSeems kind of unfair, that when there is peace and quiet, we can't truly enjoy it, because it usually means they're up to something.
I'm glad you're wise enough to keep the fuel separate. This could have been an entirely different kind of post! ;P
Wowzers...sounds like a LONG day! And just a small aside--I LOVE Sugar babies! haha Hope your day is much better today!
ReplyDeleteSounds like Miss Ky is planning one terrific tea party. Can I come?? I'll be sure to leave Miss Rachel at home -- those two together could be dangerous! ; )
ReplyDeleteShe is ADORABLE!!! And mischievous. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you KNOW I am nodding my head right now, right? I think Gracie and KY might be separated at birth...at six I don't think she'd mess with the DVD player, but I wouldn't put the Sugar Babies incident past her for one minute (lately she is really into the idea that she wants to set up a stand and sell stuff. I can totally see her trying to sell those little piles to the neighbors)!!!
ReplyDeleteI so wish I was close so I could at least pretend to be a help to you in the next little while. I really do.
my oh my----that was quite the afternoon you had with your toddler. they sure do keep you on your toes---especially when you want to have a little moping time--that's when they get in the most trouble. :)
ReplyDeletehang in there!
Right about now, that seems like a good idea to me. Maybe I can join Miss Ky's tea party! :)
ReplyDeleteHope all improves soon.
Oh my she is ADORABLE!!! and a very intelligent one too! *wink*
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pants! But I think you need Calgon to take you away!!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, and so neat, at least in this picture. Impressive!
ReplyDeleteYou know the Mommy Curse, right? "I hope you have one just like you"? It works, you know...my son Michael may as well have cloned his daughter in the kitchen...two peas in a pod...oddly enough, he doesn't care.
ReplyDeleteLove your little cloned one...I'll bet she's just like you and once upon a time....
Sandi
What a cutie! She did a great job dividing all that candy up for her tea party.
ReplyDeleteOMG that is one busy little girl you have on your hands.
ReplyDeleteWow! She sounds like lots of fun! I love her!
ReplyDeleteI say this because I once drank bleach (it tasted good), crushed a test tube in my hand (no permanent damage) from my brother's chemistry set, and ate the birth control pills that were on the top shelf above the counter (don't ever tell a kid that it's candy for moms only). Not all on the same day though.
Pretty sure there would have been a dvd player incident if there were such a thing at the time.
She'll turn out just fine...I turned out ok...I think...
I so know where you're coming from. I spent an hour looking for a dvd that I thought she had taken out of the player when in fact she got it stuck in the player. no wonder she kept pointing at the empty dvd tray when I asked her where it was. Then they look so stinkin' cute you have a hard time doing anything about it.
ReplyDeleteat least she is civilized enough to make a tea party out of the candy. mine would have ground them into the carpet with their hot wheels.
ReplyDeleteShe is an active little thing isn't she? lol Wow!
ReplyDeleteWow, she sounds like my 3 yr old! Go check out my photostory and see what mine has been up too lately!
ReplyDeletebwahahahaha... that is SO something that would happen in my house.
ReplyDeleteor already HAS happened in my house!
Oh.My.
ReplyDeleteWell, just keep telling yourself: "It's a sign of giftedness. It's a sign of giftedness." and it will be all better. :)
Aw...ha ha! She's so cute and innocent looking in the picture! :D
ReplyDeleteA tea party--how sweet is that?!
Apparently, the evil twin was lurking somewhere in the background.
;)
I had a PLAYPEN. Oh my gosh that is a tough day.
ReplyDeleteIs it legal to lock your kids up in England? I'm just curious. I might move if the answer is affirmative. You might wanna look into that.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry--I think you win. Scratch that--I KNOW you win!! Too bad there is an ocean issue or I could come over and share my chocolate with you!!
ReplyDeleteCandy? Tea Party? Why wasn't I invited??
ReplyDeleteI'm exhausted just reading this. (There really is nowhere to hide!)
ReplyDeleteWhen my little girl was about the size yours is now...I was in the kitchen and heard "snip snip snip". When I went to investigate I found her sitting behind the recliner with her toddler brother, my dry flower arrangement from the coffee table cradled in her lap and all the 'blooms' piled around her. She smiled angelically and said so proudly, "I'm cutting flowers for YOU, Mommy!" Now, how could I get mad about that?! But I took the scissors away, haha!
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable and I don't think the sugar babies idea was too bad. *L* I feel for you though. My little man is a HAND FULL. I could totally hear the same story coming out of my mouth. I hope she crashed after the sugar high. :)
ReplyDeleteAll in a days work!
ReplyDeleteShe is a busy gal with a lot to do before the daylight fades! :)
Holy Fork, Batman! That Lil Missy is certainly into EVERYTHING! She has too many brothers, because that is certainly not girl behavior.
ReplyDeleteHow old is this child? I'm amazed at her creative abilities! Someday, those will be good things. For now, you just need a vacation. Which I think you took after this, but I haven't gotten to that yet.
